The DuPage County Workforce Development Division is located at the workNet DuPage Career Center, in Lisle, IL. In public partnership with other federal, state, and local organizations, the Workforce Development Division works cooperatively to provide essential workforce development services for DuPage County.
The services offered through the Workforce Development Division are aimed not only at producing a skilled workforce for DuPage County, but also at creating links between job seekers and businesses to reduce unemployment and help businesses tap into this skilled workforce.

Job Seeker Services
Job Search Resource Room - Everything job seekers need to conduct a job search: computers with internet access, a photocopier, a fax machine, and an extensive job search library with books and videos.
Job Search Workshops - Our workshops provide job seekers with the tools they need to conduct a successful job search, especially our Job Search Boot Camp, which educates people on preparing for their job search, writing their résumé, interview skills, and other topics.
Occupational Training Grants - Job seekers may be eligible to receive funding for training in order to upgrade their skills or obtain a needed certification.
Free Job Posting - This free service distributes employers’ job leads directly to local job seekers, as well as posting them through various online channels.
Job Fairs and Recruiting Events - At no charge to businesses or job seekers, the Workforce Development Division can organize an event for an employer to meet face-to-face with local job seekers.
Workforce Training Grants - Businesses may be eligible for training grant to help train new hires or to avert lay-offs. Of particular note is the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, which can reimburse an employer for up to half of a new employee’s wages while that employee is trained on the job.
