Shared Services in DuPage County
DuPage County IT is working with local municipalities and agencies to determine areas where shared services can save money and resources.
Shared Services refers to public agencies working together to explore how they can share common resources such as equipment, software, and technology systems. The goal of shared is to provide more efficient government at a lower cost to taxpayers.
The project is being divided into three working groups.
Team 1-Joint Procurement - e-mail/calendar/office productivity applications
Team Leaders: Eric Ertmoed, Administrative Services Director-Village of Lisle and Chad Michaelis, Director of IT-City of Wheaton
DuPage County Resources: Joan Morange, Finance-Procurement Services and Wendi Wagner, IT
Team 2-Consolidation of GIS Services
Team Leader: Larry Gunderson, IT Team Leader, City of Naperville
DuPage County Resources: Mike Semenek and Mary Elliott, GIS
Team 3-Joint Procurement - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Team Leader: Don Carlsen, CIO DuPage County
