Message from Stormwater Management Planning Committee Chairman, Jim Zay
As Chairman of the Stormwater Management Planning Committee, I work with my colleagues on the Committee, municipalities, the County Board and Stormwater staff to ensure the development of sound policies and practices regarding stormwater management. We work to protect the health, life and property of DuPage County residents and businesses from the devastating effects of flooding. We also work to improve the quality of our stormwater runoff and local waterways through compliance with our National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems. We are continually striving to ensure DuPage County remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.
I would like to congratulate and thank Mayor Ron Sandack of the Village of Downers Grove for being nominated and accepting the position of Vice Chair of the Stormwater Management Planning Committee. The commitment and dedication of Mayor Sandack and all our Committee members is tantamount to an informed and actively engaged Committee that serves the interests of all DuPage County residents.
